Reading it as Nelly and not Nombulelo allowed me to experience the journey from word go and I felt her joys, doubts, love and pain first hand but I was still nervous this being the first professional on screen job and to be honest I'm nervous about every new job till we done, only then do I breathe.
We received our scripts and I must say I have never been so touched by a script in my life. I got there met usis Busi the director and we spoke a while till hubby came played by Phillip and I'm sitting there thinking "oh there's no one else here but his bestfriend, eish" and just after the reading well well well what do you we were official Mr and Mrs Nelly and Skhumbuzo Mthethwa :-)
I called the producer usis Nomcebo who asked for my profile and soon after I got a sms telling me to come for a reading for the director and I must say in my head was "the odds of you getting this are well very slim but go in girl and give them you" I had memorised the lines from the script I received that night but I was as nervous as they come lol.

So this journey began with Lerato Mvelase my director on My Spirit Lives, one day after rehearsals she tells me she has recommended me on a movie she was supposed to do but is unable to do and just like that the journey began. My very first ever and hopefully not the last. By the time you read this you will have watched the movie.
